Qualifying Criteria

Virgin Money CardIn order to qualify for a Virgin Money credit card, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Earn a minimum monthly income of R5000 per month
  • Be aged 18 years or older
  • Be a South African citizen (with an ID card or bar-coded ID book)
  • Have a savings or cheque account at a South African bank

 

Paying your account

Clients can pay off their Virgin Money card in the following ways:

  • Full amount every month – you will be charged no interest and will have your full credit limit available for the next month
  • Minimum monthly amount – interest will be charged for the remainder of your balance owing and you will only be able to spend the unused part of your credit limit. The minimum amount must be at least 7.5% of your outstanding balance
  • A fixed amount – a specified amount debited from your account each month. This amount will be adjusted if it is lower than the minimum amount due. Interest will be charged for the remainder of your balance owing and you will only be able to spend the unused part of your credit limit.

 

Virgin Money Rewards – Virgin Money Card

Virgin Money Rewards is the Virgin reward programme for cardholders and offers the following incentives:

  • 10% discount for tickets booked on the phone with Virgin Atlantic (SA) for travel from South African to London or 12 USA routes
  • Also, 10% discount on Camelot spa treatments
  • 10% discount at Ulusaba game reserve (for bookings made directly through the booking centre)
  • 10% discount on net florist orders
  • And a 10% discount for purchases under R2500 on Celestial Gift Experiences
